Babu Bahut Sataya

Last Friday when I was talking one autowallah, he gave me some interesting inputs into why Chandrababu Naidu lost the last Assembly elections. "Ino Humko Nahin Dekha. Jahan Bhi Dekho Auto Khada Karke Challan Laga Detethe. Ab Babu Jindabad Hamich Boltethe Na Road Pe. Amir Logan Thode Hi Raaste Pe Uskeliye Naare Lagatethe." And when asked whether Babu has realised his mistake or not, he said, "Usko Malum. Jab Governor Usko Pucha Ki Woh Election Kyun Hara, To Uno Bola 'Mein Upar Dekha, Niche Nahin Dekha.' Par Ek Baat Sach He Saab Uno Hyderabad Ke Liye Bahut Kuch Kiya."

Now My Take: If Chandrababu Naidu would not have been there, most MNCs would not have set up shop here. If MNCs would not have been here, perhaps I would have continued to work in Times of India as a Feature Writer. And with my low salary at that point of time, I would have never hired auto to travel on Friday. And the auto driver would have lost Rs 50. Think about thousands of people like me who have come to this city and have ended up working in MNCs with big pay packet due to Babu. So hasn't the autowallah also gained in the long run? But who will tell him that. At least I didn't...
